There are many downsides to animal testing, and one of them is cost. Cost is another reason animal testing should be discouraged. One example would be Procter and Gamble. Procter and Gamble alone spend at least $ 20 million a year on animal testing. “That amount of money is stark compared to the $3 billion they spend each year one advertising (Procter and Gamble Kills) Why would a company spend that much money when the U.S is 10 trillion dollars in debt? (U.S treasury). Many people would give an arm and leg for a fraction of that amount, but it is wasted on animal testing. Basically, government is paying for the death of animals. Because it is government funded, they are dipping into U.S funds. This is just like wasting money by supporting a practically pointless business. All of animal testing should either be privately funded, or even better, not funded at all.
